The Principal’s Corner

Dear Parents and Students,

Spring testing for students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will begin shortly. In previous years students had to take the Norm Reference Test (NRT) and the Sunshine State Standard (SSS) portions of the FCAT. This year, the state eliminated the NRT portion of the FCAT. Students will only take the SSS reading and math FCAT tests this year. Additionally, students in fourth grade will take the FCAT Writes and students in fifth grade will take the Science FCAT. Listed below is a detailed testing schedule.

It is imperative that your child is in attendance during each of the days listed below and
at school on time, as make-up days are limited.

It is essential that students are rested and well-fed before taking the upcoming tests. Thank you for your help. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact
Mrs. Thornberry, the school's guidance counselor and testing coordinator.
